Setting the foundation app for the biggest bank in Latam
Itaú asked Huge Brazil to help create the redesign of his mobile application, a tool that helps millions of Brazilians access features such as checking account, credit card, account payment, transfers and many others. In partnership with Itaú's internal design team, this initiative aimed to redefine the bank's mobile presence and later ended up influencing the language of all its digital products.
Right after defining the redesign, I was on the team responsible for thinking about what the application experience would look like through voice commands, developing how it would be visual representation and scalable integration with the flows already existing within the app. Inspired by successful cases such as Google Now for Android and Siri for iOS, one of the principles of our solution was for the entire voice experience to have visual feedback to make it possible for the user to change to the form that would most suit him at the moment, whether by touch or by voice. And to facilitate the interaction, we create a visual language to represent the four basic moments of the interface: waiting, listening, thinking and speaking.
In this redesign project my main contribution was to define the interactions of the application in high fidelity navigable prototypes. These deliverables were intended to validate design decisions by the project team and stakeholders, and also to be used for usability testing to understand the impact of the new design as well as its effectiveness. It was a very interesting project that allowed me to delve deeper into Framer and better understand its limitations and possibilities, since the initial challenge was to create prototypes for the three segments of the Itaú application: Retail, Personnalité and Business.
